UBE-ESS 261

All-in-one liquid-cooled ESS Cabinet

The cabinet is equipped with a high-performance liquid cooling system, designed to ensure uniform thermal distribution across the entire cabinet and active thermal control of the cells. The cooling circuit allows for the delta T between cells to be kept below 3°C under nominal operating conditions, reducing thermal stress, limiting cell aging and improving the overall reliability of the battery system. The system’s modular architecture allows for scalable parallel configurations, optimizing energy density as well as electrical and thermal integration. This approach improves the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), increases the functional safety of the system, and enables rapid implementation and commissioning in Energy Storage System (ESS) projects.

  • COMPACT
With a footprint of only 1.4 m², the unit is easily transportable and allows for quick and easy installation.
  • HIGH INTEGRATION
Providing 261 kWh of energy in a single cabinet, the system combines large capacity and robustness.
  • EFFICIENT COOLING
The optimized layout of cooling channels within the pack ensures precise thermal control and low energy impact.
  • LONG CYCLE TIME
Reliable and long-lasting performance for over 8,000 system life cycles.
  • FLEXIBLE EXPANSION
The modular design allows for simple and flexible parallel expansion, making the system easily scalable and adaptable to project requirements.
  • MAXIMUM SAFETY (aerosol fire protection)
The IN-PACK system quickly detects and suppresses fires within the battery pack. The aerosol limits the heat spread and prevents thermal runaway, reducing the risk of cascading spread.
  • LIQUID-COOLED PACK
The PACK module, composed of LFP cells 1P52S, integrates BMU (Battery Monitoring Unit), HV (High Voltage) connectors, liquid cooling, and a fixed structure. These components provide secure and comprehensive protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, isolation and overheating and, in direct communication with the PCS (Power Conversion System), ensure safe and high-performance charging and discharging operations.
