In the summer, you can save on your energy consumption at home.
To save on your heating system in summer, simply select the Summer function on the boiler panel and not just on the room timed thermostat. Obviously, this function can be used if you have an independent heating system and if the heating programme does not have to remain active (for instance, in mountainous regions).
A lot of Unical condensing boilers feature an optional function (RI.RA.) which makes it possible to enhance savings further in the management of your heating system. These savings are possible since the water originating from the waterworks in summer is warmer: this special function of Unical condensing systems makes it possible to disable special pre-heating circuits. For customers who already have the Regolafacile thermostat, this function can already be activated on their heating system.
Another piece of advice to save during the summer is to lower the hot water outlet temperature: from the 45° usually envisaged for the winter to 38-39°. This adjustment will make it possible to avoid mixing hot water with cold water, with an actual saving in terms of water consumption.
Another way to save would be to take into consideration possible integrations with renewable energy sources: state programmes offering incentives/tax relief for installations to incorporate existing systems with solar systems, using Biomass or other renewable sources are available. Unical offers several solutions dedicated to the use of renewable energy sources, which can be incorporated into existing domestic heating systems, and more.
For centralised heating systems, you need to check the Domestic Hot Water (DHW) production system, paying special attention to anti-Legionnaire's disease programmes. All Unical's electronic temperature controllers are fitted with this programme.
